I have been obsessed with maps since I was a toddler. I remember paging through atlases and dreaming about the distant lands I could visit, the intriguing lines that formed roads and coasts and mountain ranges and would try to imagine myself in those places. That wanderlust and love for maps would eventually lead to drawing my own maps, of places real and imagined. As I became proficient in using a computer, I found that drawing applications would allow me to make my own digital versions. And when I began working for publications, I found myself learning how to create factual, useful maps that would accompany articles and feature stories on the pages of newspapers and magazines.
