As the events of each and every day unfold, as they did in Highlands Ranch today, and as they will somewhere else tomorrow, and anywhere else the next day, and the next, and the next, ad infinitum; I am reminded of a few good tips I like to live by.
Life is fleeting, and you’ll have your hot days and your cold ones — and you get ‘em all mashed together and that’s just the way it is. Deal with it. Pursue your passion as if it were a runaway shopping cart full of gold, because it kinda is, in a way. If all the really cool things were easy, everybody would be doing them, and they wouldn’t be as much fun. Do what you really enjoy doing, because all the boring shit won’t flash in front of your eyes before you die like the good shit will. Love until it hurts — and it will — and that’s just what makes life, life. Be with people who know your worth — and this goes for romantic as well as professional relationships. And for gosh sakes, don’t be an asshole.
P.S.: If it makes you feel good to pray about all the bad stuff that happens in the world, then by all means you should do that. If you think you can change the world, then by all means do that, too. But don’t judge others for their reaction to tragedy. That’s kinda assholy.
